  4. Click Add in the top right

Connect Hexfit to Microsoft Copilot

Before you start: with Microsoft, an MCP server is added to an agent built in Microsoft Copilot Studio. You need a work Microsoft 365 account with access to Copilot Studio (and a Microsoft 365 Copilot license to use the agent in Copilot or Teams). The free version of Copilot (copilot.microsoft.com) does not let you add a custom MCP server.

  1. Copy the connection link from Hexfit administration (you need to be admin)

  2. Open Copilot Studio and sign in with your Microsoft 365 account

  3. Create a new agent (for example "Hexfit Assistant") or open an existing one

  4. Go to the "Tools" tab, then click "Add a tool"

  5. Select "Model Context Protocol"

  6. Enter the following information:

    • Name: Hexfit

    • Description: Lets you view and create programs, workouts, exercises and clients in Hexfit

    • Server URL: Paste your connection link

    • Authentication: None

  7. Click "Create", then under "Connection", choose "Create new connection" and click "Add and configure"

  8. Test the agent in the "Test" pane. The first time, click "Open connection manager", then "Connect", and send your request again

  9. To use it day to day, click "Publish", then turn on the Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams channel. Depending on your organization's rules, an administrator may need to approve the agent

That's it! It works now :D

Connect Hexfit to Gemini

Before you start: according to Google, adding custom apps (MCP servers) in Gemini is currently limited to personal Google Accounts (not work or school accounts), to users 18 and over located in the United States, and the feature is in English only. Gemini's "Keep Activity" setting must be turned on. You can only add the app on the web, but Hexfit will then also be available in the Gemini mobile app.

  1. Copy the connection link from Hexfit administration (you need to be admin)

  2. On your computer, open gemini.google.com

  3. In the bottom left, click "Settings", then "Connected Apps". If you don't see "Connected Apps", click "Personal Intelligence" first

  4. Under "Custom apps", click "Add a custom app"

  5. Paste your Hexfit connection link as the MCP server URL. You don't need to fill in anything under "Advanced features": Hexfit requires no authentication

  6. Click "Next" and follow the on-screen instructions

  7. In a conversation, type @ and select Hexfit so Gemini uses it. Gemini will ask you to confirm before each creation or change in your account

That's it! It works now :D

For advanced users (Gemini CLI): if you use Gemini from the command line, you can also add Hexfit with the following command, replacing the text in quotes with your connection link:

gemini mcp add --transport http hexfit "YOUR_CONNECTION_LINK"
